Kate
Hilton BDS DPDS
Kate originates from Warrington and
qualified at the Welsh National School of Medicine in
1973. A six month house job at Manchester Dental Hospital
and Manchester Royal Infirmary was followed by six years
in geranial practice. Kate then did two and a half years
in the Community Dental Service based in Atherton and
Wigan. This was followed by four years living in Sandton,
South Africa, working for the Trade Unions Medical Aid
Society for a large employer. Kate returned to the UK
to Settle in Bolton in 1987 and has enjoyed working for
the Silverwell Practice ever since.
Kate gained a Bachelor of Dental Surgery
(BDS) from the Welsh National School of Medicine and the
then achieved the Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies
(DPDS) from Bristol University.
Kate enjoys a hectic personal life which
includes golfing and exercising her energetic dog.
Paul
Melvin BDS London
Paul was born and brought up in the
south of England. He qualified in 1974 from King's College
Hospital in London. He joined the Silverwell Partnership
straight from University. The Practice was under it's
previous ownership and he stayed for 6 years. He then
joined a friend from university partnership in practices
in Manchester and Oldham. In 1987 he moved on to run his
own single-handed practice in Cheshire. Illness meant
another move and, after a short spell as an associate
in Ashton-in-Makerfield, he returned to Silverwell street
in 1994.
Paul gained a Batchelor of Dental Surgery
(B.D.S.) from King's College Medical and Dental School
University of London. And has continued to attend postgraduate
courses throughout his career.
Paul has two grown up sons aged 27 and 25.
He enjoys watching football, rugby and cricket. He also
has a keen interest in History, Art and Music and is at
present studying for an Open University
degree in Humanities.
